More Excitement in the Blanks household!
The Blanks house - we recently had a leak from our washing machine - this leak got the laundry room, garage, and Danielle's room soaked! We had to get the plumber out to fix it and servpro out to dry it and Danielle could not sleep in her room for 4 days! Finally, everything is dry, and now we noticed that Katie's toilet is leaking! arrgghh!!! Will it never end?
Christmas Holidays - We were very excited to see all of the family over the Christmas break! We got to see little Jacob and Molly and all my brothers and sisters! It was wonderful!
Update on the kids:
Elizabeth - tried out for the high school softball team! We are very excited because a lot of girls tried out, and St. Joe is going to have an awesome team this year!
Danielle - is cheering for the JV basketball team this year, she is also getting ready for Expo this summer and memorizing her monologue and 2 person scene. She also tried out for the school musical this year. She is also signed up for the Madison Rec league for soccer.
Katie's indoor soccer team in undefeated and the finals are tonight! She has been doing great even though, she is playing up on a u-12 team. Her D2 team just started practice and will be playing in lots of tournaments this spring.
David - has been killing lots of deer. We have a ton of freezer meat this year and David has killed lots of does, but no bucks yet. He is also been very busy with work, and has been helping plan all of the new tech equipment for St. Anthony's - the new elementary school in Madison. He is also helping coach the St. Joe girls softball team for the second year in a row!
As far as I go, my latest adventure has been Lasik! Friday I put on my glasses for the last time and went in for surgery. Surgery went pretty well, and the right eye was a complete success! However, the left eye was another story. I was in a lot of pain on Friday and had to go in on Saturday to get my left eye fixed. My doctor even met with me Saturday night at 9 pm to make sure everything was going ok. I go back today at 3 so that he can check my progress. Even with all of these issues, I still think Lasik is the best thing ever! It is so nice to be able to see when I first wake up in the morning! Right now, I am formatting my PC. I made the mistake of letting the kids play games on it, and now it is so riddled with spyware that I have to do a format reinstall! At least today isn't too busy with work!
So far 2009 is looking to be a great although busy year! Hopefully, my next post will contain more pictures and updates - and less plumbing and eye problems!

What a week!

Grandpa Gaston's 90th Birthday
Michael, that is just scary!
Danielle was a little confused about the nametags. Because our family is soooo large, when we get together, we have to have name tags or we will never be able to remember everyones names!

Monica and Molly!
Elizabeth decided to decorate her glass.
Jacob and Lala. Great haircut Lala!!!
Here are kissing cousins Molly and Jacob. Molly loves to kiss everyone, and she was teaching Jacob how to become and expert kisser.

Kiss-Kiss
Danielle and Elizabeth are the kissing coaches... : )

Katie loves wearing uncle Chris' hat.
Jacob loved hanging out with all of his cousins.

Katie's 9th Birthday
These are some pics from Katie's B-day party. Above, Katie and Anna share a smile, below, Ashlyn and Katie ride a roller coaster.
I know what you guys are thinking... what happened to the NYC pics? Or the Molly Birthday pics? Well, life happened. We have been so busy with our new clients, and all the new business, and Danni's cheer, and Katie's soccer, and all the school stuff, that I have not had any time to really blog. Even now, I really should be working. But, if you have a facebook, I have uploaded all the NYC pics there. I promise to blog again soon!

Back by popular demand!!
I had this blog entry on my myspace page, and after Alison's "Blonde moment" I thought I would post mine!!!!
Ok, so I was working at a local cell phone data center today, and here is how big of a computer dork I am…..
I was installing a new program in the server room, which is huge! It is one of those "clean" rooms –
They have a special dust thing that gets dust off your feet before you go in…
And no paper or boxes or anything like that is allowed in the room.
So, I am plugged up to one of these blade servers and I feel something on my arm, and I look down and it is a tiny little bug!
So I say,"Oh there's a bug on my arm!"
And the guy I am working with from Cell company kind of freaks out a little and says, "There can't be any bugs in here!
This is a clean room and we can't have food or boxes or anything that attracts bugs in here!"
To which I say – (drum roll please)
"Maybe it's a computer bug…"
Yes, I am officially the biggest computer dork in the world, because I was not even trying to be funny or make a joke….
It just came out!
After I realized what a total dork I was, I had to immediately play it off with a nerdy "ha ha ha snort snort."
And then I apologized for being such a nerd!
Hope my stupidity can brighten your day! Feel free to tease me about this mercilessly…
